Cyberpunk 2077's DLC will broaden the game's selection of vehicles greatly, with over ten new vehicles confirmed for Phantom Liberty so far.

Cyberpunk 2077's streets are about to get even more stylish with Phantom Liberty's new vehicles. The spy-thriller expansion, which is set to release on September 26, 2023, will further develop V's story with a brand-new storyline, a location named Dogtown, a myriad of intriguing characters, and even an additional base game ending. Narrative aside, though, players can also look forward to a refreshed selection of vehicles to add to their collection in the Phantom Liberty DLC.

New cars and motorbikes aren't the only ways in which the driving experience will be improved; one of the best changes coming with Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty (likely as part of the free base game update) is the long-awaited addition of vehicle combat. Players will soon be able to engage in high-speed, high-stakes battles while driving, with cars offering the opportunity for ranged combat through guns and weapon-mounted cars, and motorbikes allowing V to use close-range melee weapons. The exciting update will bring even more action to Night City's streets, making it the perfect time for Phantom Liberty's new rides to shine.

Some of the best vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 are those manufactured by Quadra, and Phantom Liberty continues to prove that true with the new Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante. A glossy red exterior, a body adorned with metal detailing, and an exposed engine make the Vigilante one of the most unique-looking vehicles in the game, and it's certain to make heads turn - both for Night City civilians and car-loving players alike.

Those vying to be the first with their hands on this gorgeous vehicle are in luck since the Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante is actually included as a free pre-order bonus for the Phantom Liberty DLC. According to the expansion's Steam page, the car will still be available to those who don't pre-order, but such players may have to put in the extra work to find it in-game. Meanwhile, those who pre-order will be able to obtain and drive the Vigilante immediately upon loading into the DLC.

While Cyberpunk 2077 fans have received a more detailed overview of the Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante, the same isn't yet true of the rest of Phantom Liberty's new vehicles. A recent trailer for the expansion - which premiered at Gamescom, and is now available on the Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel - merely gives players a brief sneak peek of upcoming cars and their exterior appearances. As such, the official names and models of said vehicles remain unknown at the time of this writing. However, one car that fans were able to get a closer look at is what seems to be a new, heavily-modified variant of the Mizutani Shion Coyote.

The black and emerald green coupe is far from modern-looking; asymmetrical decals, a busy color palette, and a very practical interior give it a look that's more perhaps suited to the Badlands than to Corpo Plaza. However, the car is equipped with a collection of accessories and modifications, which will undoubtedly give it an edge during vehicle combat. The overhead lamp may increase V's visibility on the road, and the device mounted to the hood may very well be a gun or turret of sorts.

Another vehicle that will likely give V an advantage during drive-bys is one conversely sleek sports car, which is equipped with laser sights. Situated in between the sedan's headlights, the two red lasers indicate that the vehicle may also be hiding some sort of weaponry beneath its polished, black body. Although it won't atone for Phantom Liberty still excluding the coolest vehicles, the ride is sure to be just as lethal as it is sophisticated.

Not everyone in Cyberpunk 2077's dystopian society can afford a luxurious sports car, though, which makes mini cars a practical, affordable option for many. Fortunately, Phantom Liberty takes the humble mini car and transforms it into something more interesting with a new Makigai model.

This unique mini car and pick-up truck hybrid features a small, two-door body, a short bed, and large wheels, which give it some verticality to compensate for its size. The cream and maroon color scheme doesn't particularly do any favors for the Makigai, but the vehicle does also seem to feature some sort of modifications, which may make it an economical entry point for vehicle combat.

Being the complete antithesis of the mini Makigai, Phantom Liberty players will also have the opportunity to embody over-the-top wealth with a new lime-green, six-wheeled vehicle. With its long, boxy, limousine-like body, it's structurally quite similar to the Villefort Alvarado, which is one of the most luxurious vehicles that Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer. Like its predecessor, this new car will be sure to command the space of the road and to demand the attention of all passersby.

V will be dealing with Night City's most dangerous gang in Phantom Liberty and so it only makes sense that they'd want to armor up to protect themselves while driving through Dogtown. One new armored military SUV seems like one of the most appealing options in this context, with its bulky build, armor plating, what looks to be bullet-proof glass, and its fair share of modifications.

Ironically, the neon yellow decal spray-painted onto the side of the vehicle may indicate that it actually belongs to the Barghest, meaning that players may not be able to obtain it without crossing Dogtown's lethal militia force themselves.

Function doesn't always have to come before fashion, though, and another new vehicle coming to Phantom Liberty proves just that. The red-and-gray coupe features an alluring and modern angular design, but tasteful weathering of paint and yellow headlights also give it a slightly aged, vintage appearance. Much like Johnny Silverhand's car in Cyberpunk 2077, this new ride brings the past, present, and future together into one charming package.

On the other hand, present-day takes more of the front stage with a beige coupe. Its plain body and its flat color scheme make it far from flashy. However, in a world of bright and innovative vehicles, there's a comforting beauty to this car's simplistic and familiar design.

Apart from the Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante, one additional Quadra model is confirmed for the DLC, and it's no less glamorous than the last. With its deep, royal purple exterior and large, exposed grill, this muscle car looks just as powerful as it does stylish. Phantom Liberty's ending could be a happy one, but regardless of what its outcome may be, V will probably feel like they made it with this fancy new ride.

In Cyberpunk 2077, Thorton vehicles are known to be extremely functional and durable, which makes the new Thorton model an exciting inclusion. Although it's difficult to make out the details behind the text, the SUV looks like it'll live up to its manufacturer's reputation with its utilitarian, no-frills design. The tinted windows and golden paint job add a little bit of extra pizzazz to the vehicle, too.

Phantom Liberty's last new vehicle is also hidden behind some obtrusive text, but from what's visible, it appears to be a simple blue or gray sedan. Something seems to be attached to the top of the vehicle, so it's possible that it may feature some other modifications. Just like the rest of the upcoming cars, players will have to wait until the expansion releases in order to get a closer look - but with Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC right around the corner, it won't be much longer before they'll be able to examine (and experiment with) Night City's newest vehicles.
